FOGHLAIM GAEILGE AR AN IDIRLION

Micheál de Mórdha.

Tá baint ag trí cheantar Gaeltachta anseo sa Mhumhain le clár píolótach chun an Ghaeilge a fhoghlaim ar an idirlíon. Mar ar Oíche Shamhna do sheol Gaeltalk.net - láthair múinteoireachta i mBéal Átha an Ghaorthaidh, cúrsa píolótach le grúpa de mhic léinn i Phoenix, in Arizona sna Stáit Aontaithe. Tosnaíodh an cúrsa faoi scáth na comhlachta faisnéise teicneolaíochta, Bard na nGleann, a bhunaigh fear as Cill Chúile i gCorca Dhuibhne, Tomás Mac Gearailt, agus atá lonnaithe i mBéal Átha an Ghaorthaidh.

Is é an ceangal Gaeltachta eile atá ann go bhfuil na ranganna féin á gcur i láthair ó Oileán Chléire ag Dorothee Uí Cheallaigh Ph. D. agus beidh cabhair aici seo ó chainteoirí dúchais ón oileán sin. Tá Litríocht.com, an síopa leabhar ar an idirlíon comh maith á rith ag Bard na nGleann. Má éiríonn leis an gclár píolótach seo, beidh ranganna Gaeilge le fáil d'fhoghlaimeoirí ar fud an domhain faoi Eanáir, 2003, a deir an comhlacht Gaeltalk. net.
" Tá lucht foghlama na Gaeilge lasmuigh d'Éirinn agus Gaeltalk.net an-dóchasach faoin gcúrsa idirlín seo agus an deis thairbheach a thabharfaidh sé chun Gaeilge a fhoghlaim beo díreach ó mhuintir na Gaeltachta féinig. Le cúnamh Dé, spreagann sé tuilleamh forbartha sna Gaeltachtaí maidir le múinteoireacht, fostaíocht agus turasóireacht chultúrtha", a deir Diarmaid Mac Alsándair, bainisteoir Gaeltalk.net.

Leis an gclár píolótach seo, socraíodh ceangal beo idir trí áit in Eirinn agus an tIonad Foghlama agus Cultúir Gaelach in Arizona State University i Phoenix, Arizona. Nancy Hass agus Kathy Woods an beirt mhac léinn a rinne an ceangal beo tras-Atlantach. Dúradar go raibh an teicneolaíocht nua seo "do-chreidte" agus go mbheadh sé i bfhad níos éasca Gaeilge a fhoghlaim dá bharra ach go háirithe ……an fhoghraíocht (phonetics).
Tá seisear déag ón Ionad Foghlama agus Cultúr Gaelach san Ollscoil ag freastal ar an gcúrsa píolótach agus tá na mic léinn idir trí bliana déag agus trí fichead bliain d'aois.
